Did you know that CNA Week takes place every June? Established by the National Network of Career Nursing Assistants (NNCNA) in 1986, CNA Week is a special time to recognize the invaluable contributions of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The NNCNA itself was founded in 1977, and since then, it has been dedicated to supporting and celebrating the essential work of CNAs.
The theme for this year's CNA Week is "We Are The Champions," celebrating CNAs as frontline heroes who provide essential care with compassion and dedication. At The Cottages at Texarkana, we are proud to honor our incredible CNAs who go above and beyond every day to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.
To show our appreciation, we organized a series of fun and engaging activities throughout the week. Our CNAs enjoyed some friendly competition and lots of laughter during the corn-hole tournament. It was a great way to unwind and bond with colleagues. We also treated our CNAs to delicious meals, starting the day with a hearty breakfast and continuing with a delightful lunch. It was our way of saying thank you for their hard work and dedication.
Our CNAs are truly the champions of The Cottages at Texarkana. Their compassion, dedication, and tireless efforts make a significant difference in the lives of our residents. CNA Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognize their contributions, but our gratitude extends far beyond this special week.
